Rotary Unions and Swivel Joints
A rotary joint (or swivel or swivel joint) is a device that provides a rotating seal between two parts. It rotates 360 degrees on one axis, or partially pivots when a full rotation is not required. This allows liquid from a stationary source, such as a pipe to flow to a rotating part or a machine such as a drum. This mechanism is used in a variety of industries, from agriculture to plastics, so it needs to be extremely versatile.
